ABOUT

At Roaring Start Pediatric Therapy, we believe that every child deserves a powerful and positive beginning. Founded with a deep passion for serving the pediatric population, we specialize in providing one-on-one physical therapy services that set children on the path to a bright future. Our focus on early intervention allows us to promptly address body tension, difficulty with tummy time, torticollis, plagiocephaly (head flattening), and developmental delay.

What sets us apart is not only our dedication but also our expertise in a highly specialized area of pediatric care. As a lactation-informed physical therapist with specialty training in tethered oral tissues (TOTs), we have a unique, full-body approach to treating oral motor dysfunction and providing pre- and post-release therapy for tongue and/or lip ties, reducing associated breast and/or bottle feeding challenges. In addition, our founder is both a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and a Certified Primitive Reflex Clinical Specialist. She has undergone numerous hours of postdoctoral training, including prestigious in-person and virtual mentorship experiences. This ensures we are bringing cutting-edge knowledge and compassionate care to both infants and their families facing any of these challenges.

In addition to our specialized services, we are also committed to reaching underserved rural populations, ensuring that every family has access to the critical care their child needs. We take pride in offering skilled and timely interventions, dedicated to making sure each child gets the positive start they deserve.

Hi there! I’m Dr. Ashton — pediatric physical therapist, certified breastfeeding specialist, and owner of Roaring Start Pediatric Therapy. I’m also a mom of two, passionate about supporting parents and their little ones through those amazing (and sometimes messy) first years of life.

Roaring Start Pediatric Therapy was founded on the belief that every child deserves to feel good in their body — and that parents deserve the tools and knowledge to feel confident in supporting their child’s development.

My own experiences as a parent navigating challenges like breastfeeding challenges, torticollis, body tension, reflux, bottle refusal, and tethered oral tissues have deeply shaped how I approach care. I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact that holistic, whole-body treatment can have on comfort, connection, and development.

My goal is to help establish strong early foundations for development — giving each child a powerful and positive beginning. I’m passionate about empowering and educating parents, helping them connect with their little ones through purposeful play and meaningful movement.

The easiest and most recommended way to get started is by filling out our contact form. If you find yourself interested in pediatric therapy for your little one but hesitant to get started, I’d be happy to chat through the process during a free, virtual consultation, which you can book through the link below.

I feel so lucky to have a career focused on helping babies move, grow, and thrive — while supporting their families every step of the way. Thank you for being here!
